RightsMarket offers persistent protection.

Content that is protected by our technology is only temporarily decrypted. To access the file again, the user must use the encrypted copy and reauthenticate. This means that the user must always comply with the terms and conditions of use. The RightsClient, which is installed on the user's machine, queries the RightsServer to determine how the content may be used. A common viewer or player (e.g. Adobe Acrobat, Winamp, Internet Explorer) is then used to access the file; however, the application is made secure through a RightsMarket plug-in.
