With South Africa's celebration of Freedom Day on April 27 marking the tenth anniversary of multi-racial elections, we complete the 3-part Feature Article on "South Africa: Past, Present, and Future". The week also marked one year since US President Bush announced the end of major combat in Iraq. Concerns over the direction of the invasion have been highlighted by the number of casualties in April that exceed the total number that died in assuming control of the country.
